In February 1923 Alpha Chapter moved into its third
house,
located at 1833 Jefferson Street, NW,
across the street from the former home of President Theodore
Roosevelt,
who from November 1889 to November 1891,
during his first years as one of the new U.S. civil service
commissioners,
lived at 1820 Jefferson Place, NW,
[This is the only DPE House for which I lack a picture]
