Some time during World War II Alpha Chapter acquired an intricately
carved wooden crest,
onto the face of which was painted the Fraternity's coat if arms.
Shown above are three Chapter presidents from the mid to
late 1940s holding this crest.
The crest normally hung over the library mantelpiece. It
was stolen in the summer of 1976.
In 2001 several brothers decided to have a copy carved in
Indonesia and repainted with the Fraternity's arms.
Here's hoping the new crest will be in place soon.
