BETA CHAPTER

 At the chapter's annual election the following ticket was elected:

Harold Bryson, President
A. A. Stover, Jr., Vice president,;
Hubert D. Gallagher, Treasurer;
H. E. Mowbray, Secretary.

Our home continues to be 39 East 10th Street, but we have climbed to higher levels and now occupy the top floor. We envy our other chapters with their fine homes; but, after having faced the housing situation around Washington Square for several years, we reached the conclusion that 39 East 10th Street is not so bad after all. Be it ever so humble -

Hal Bryson has been elected to Delta Mu Delta, while Otto Losa, the star end of the varsity football team, has made the Sigma Society, both of which are rewards for excellent scholarship.

As The GALLEY goes to press, Beta labors with three of its annual events which promise to surpass those of the past.

The Spring Dance at the Hotel Manhattan Square is under the direction of Brother H. E. Mowbray, and takes place on April 29th, followed a week later by our annual excursion to Lake Hopatcong, where about ten neophytes will loop the loop, piloted by Brother Philip Faymonville, head of the Initiation Committee. On May 14th our Seventh Annual Banquet will be held at Fraunces Tavern, all arrangements for which are being handled by Brother Richard Fenton, as usual.

Since last fall we have had numerous interesting meetings at which various subjects were discussed. Among our speakers were

C. F. Baldwin;
T. J. Kehoe - Admiral Oriental Line;
C. R. Dooley - Director of Personnel and Training, Standard Oil Co. of New Jersey;
J. W. T. Mason - Foreign Staff Correspondent, United Press Association;
P. D. Saklatvala - of India;
J. H. Furay - Vice-Pres. in charge of Foreign News, United Press Association.

Henry Gulley and Len Sutter are now among the missing on Friday nights. They are now married. We understand that Bob Lane and Lon Snyder will soon hear the familiar marching song.

Andy Sutherland was last heard from in Honduras.

Buck Snavely is rolling his own in Colombia.

J. J Travis is with Remington Typewriter Co. in Havana.

Francis Taylor recently returned from abroad, where he made a study of radio broadcasting in Europe.

Connie Johnson spent several months on a trip to India aboard a freighter.
